openbuddha My opinion: if we’re gonna have prisons and have prisoners work, then we should pay them like anyone else. Maybe charge them reasonable room and board, but otherwise it is just slavery and should be seen as cruel & unusual punishment — I know most Americans would scoff at this.On twitter.com

openbuddha If every prisoner who worked in prison was paid fairly and was able to came out of prison with a nest egg so they could transition back to life more easily, we’d have a lot less recidivism.Permalink On twitter.com
