annthurium I find Bulgarian split squats hit my quads, especially my vmo pretty hard. With a kettlebell or dumbbells it’s a pretty upright posture like a front squat and the knee is in front. It hits the hamstrings and gluts too due to the stretch. I recommend trying if you haven’t.

annthurium Also don’t take my dislike of front squats to mean they aren’t effective at high weight. It’s just I’ve tried and once I get over 100 lbs the front rack position hurts my wrists. Also the crossed arm variant feels too unstable. I guess I could get used to them, but I’d rather not
