    1. Some friends and I got our truck stuck in the desert. With only a liter of water for 4 people, we walked 18 miles, at night thankfully. Then we hailed down a freight train, for the last 5 miles to camp. Oh and one friend had to walk it barefoot as he didn’t bring shoes. hikikomorphism/1430582941046824970

    That’s the short version. There’s a lot more, like how with only an hour nap I then immediately went out into the desert on the back of another friend’s motorcycle to find the damned truck using only the shape of far away mountains and dry creek beds as landmarks.
